At the Geneva Motor Show 2011, Volvo Cars are revealing the V60 Plug-in Hybrid - a nearly ready-production car with carbon dioxide emission beneath 50 g/km, which translates into consumption of fuel at 1.9 l/100 km.
In 2012, Volvo Cars will be first manufactured and available in the market with this new breed of hybrid, which is the consequence of close cooperation using the Swedish energy provider Vattenfall.
The V60 Plug-in Hybrid functions the very best properties from 3 different car varieties in one, single attractive sports wagon. This includes possible for the driver to drive up to 50 kilometers on pure electricity.

The frontal wheels from the V60 Plug-in Hybrid is going to be driven by a 5-cylinder D5 2.4-litre turbo-diesel, which produces 215 horsepower and maximum torque of 440 Nm. The rear axle functions ERAD (Electric Rear Axle Drive) within the type of an electrical motor making 70 horsepower, which receives the power from a lithium-ion 12 kWh battery power. The automobile features a six-speed automatic transmission.
