This car has the Hybrid Drive system which claims to be the most developed gas-electric hybrid system of the automotive industry generated till now. It provides performance and power comparable to new 12-cylinder engines, delivering V8-class fuel efficiency. The other specs of car include full-time all-wheel drive and a very low emission rating which puts other hybrids to shame. The  Lexus LS 600h L is the world's first vehicle featured with LED headlamp for low-beam and night use.

This expensive hybrid car also has some extra features like three on-board cameras monitoring everything from obstacles in the road, to the direction the driver's head is turned. Inspite of being a performance-oriented hybrid car, it also meets the SULEV II (Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle II) certification, by emitting almost 70 percent smog-forming emissions than its competitors.

Compared to the standard LS model, a long-wheelbase design of LS 600h L brings about 5 inches of extra legroom for rear travelers. The hybrid power train system of LS 600h L connects a 5.0-liter V8 gasoline engine with a large-capacity battery pack in the trunk and two powerful electric motors. It generates an output of 438 horsepower and can also accelerate from 0-60 mph in merely 5.5 seconds.

According to Lexus, the base price for Lexus LS 600h L would be over US$104,000, surpassing the V 12-equipped Toyota Century, the most expensive Japanese luxury car. Thus, a long list of standard luxury conveniences make the LS 600h L an ultra-luxurious vehicle.
