The RAT-U-LA is the new version of the DRAG-U-LA by Brett Barris. It has been displayed in 60's hit  TV show “The Munsters”. The original DRAG-U-LA car is known as the Grandpa Munster's car.

The  DRAG-U-LA was a racing car specially built for a Munster's movie, named "Munsters, Go Home".

The DRAG-U-LA was one of the two cars made by Tom Daniels when he was working for Barris Kusom Industries and George Barris for the TV show “The Munsters”. In this TV series, the car was made by Grandpa Munster to win back “The Munster Coach”, which Herman had lost in a drag race in Hot Rod Herman episode.

The DRAG-U-LA was shaped like a coffin, and was powered by a 350 horse power. It had 289 Ford V-8 engine and was equipped with two four barrels. The DRAG-U-LA car was a coffin on tires which reached the speed of 160 mph. It also had a four speed manual transmission. Its exhaust header system was made out of organ pipe, sprouting from both sides of vehicles. The car was created for the cost of $10,800.

This classic car also featured silver spider hubcaps, 289 CI Ford Mustang V-8 engine, gold-leaf paint finish, high compression pistons, dual quad manifold and a purple block for matching the purple colored coffin liner seat. It also had two rear tires with Firestone drag slicks of 11-inch, mounded on polished 10-inch Radar aluminum wheels. Each hubcap of the DRAG-U-LA was adorned with a large silver spider. There were also two antique lamps on the rear and front. Its front tires were 4-inch Italian tires.

Then Brett merged the design of the original DRAG-U-LA and made new RAT-U-LA car. Today, the original car DRAG-U-LA is hanging from the selling in Planet Hollywood in Atlantic City, as it was sold years ago to Planet Hollywood restaurant.
