Upgrades at Turkish Grand Prix - Lotus Renault GP

Lotus Renault GP has announced that they're planning to bring some upgrades for their vehicle for that Formula 1 Turkish Grand Prix 2011 scheduled to take place.The team is looking to boost its performance as they were not able to provide a promising performance on the Chinese Grand Prix after scored two consecutive stands finishes at the very first two races of the season.

Both Vitaly Petrov and Nick Heidfeld scored the podium places at each race also it seemed that Renault had been going to be one of the top teams of the 2011 Formula 1 season because they had been the fastest team following Red Bull Racing and McLaren.
The team does very well during the pre-season testing period also and now they are looking to bounce back on the Turkish Grand Prix once applying some upgrades to their auto.

Renault are searching for podiums this season rather than just finished amongst points but so that you can do this, they'd need to performs constantly.
Renault boss Eric Boullier believes that the R31 is going to be back inside the challenge on the upcoming race with a modified front nose, wing, air intake part and a few changes towards the car’s floor.

“We have a great upgrade package coming for Turkey. I think that historically the teams had been getting ready to introduce their development packages for Europe, but I feel that in the past few years the advance race is continuous and this contest has already started,” said Boullier.
He added that many from the teams have upgraded their cars and to be able to ensure a secure future during the European phase with the year, Renault necessary the upgrade vitally.

James Allison the team’s technical director on the other hand claims which he can't locate a reason why his team would not be competitive at the Turkish Grand Prix.
“It's a fairly typical type of track, not particularly dissimilar to Malaysia and China I would hope that we can continue compete in a higher level. [The car is] sufficiently quick to be healthily-placed in the top in qualifying, which gives you half a opportunity come Sunday,” said Allison.

He believes the Pirelli tyres suit the R31 a great deal as a result of whose runs considerably far better in the course of the races as opposed to the qualifying assembly. Allison thinks the auto continues to be very dependable for them to date.

Renault are at present in 4th place in the constructors’ stands just 18 points behind third-placed Ferrari.
